The First Burn

Performing the first burn correctly is crucial to the performance of your candle.

Allow the wax to melt all the way to the edge of the jar before snuffing the flame, this typically takes between 2-4 hours.

To avoid tunnelling and excessive wax around the edges of your jar it is paramount to burn the wax all the way to the edge of the jar every time, by doing this you will set up a clean even flow on effect as the candle burns all the way down.

Wick mushrooming is caused by an overabundance of wax which builds up on the wick as an excess amount of carbon. This process is normal and nothing to worry about. When this occurs, simply remove the cap (mushroom) and trim the wick to avoid the cap dropping off into the candle as well as unwanted smoke.

Do not burn for longer than 4 hours in a single session.

Trimming The Wick

We have pre trimmed the wick for you so your candle is ready to use right out of the box.

For optimal performance of your candle we recommend ensuring the wick is always between 5-10mm long.

Stop using candle when the wax reaches 1/4 inch height.

Keep away from flammable objects and curtains. Ensure adequate ventilation and use on an even heat resistant surface. Container may be hot whilst your candle is burning. Never leave a lit candle unattended or in a small confined space.Failure to follow these warnings may result in injury, hazard or fire. This candle is extremely awesome!
